- Corris Mine Explorers
- I was born in Watford, Hertfordshire, and lived in that area until 2002, when I moved to Wales. From a very young age, I have always been the 'adventurous' type. I was a member of the cubs and then the scouts which set the foundations for many outdoor activities. I have trekked, and climbed mountains, all over the world, jumped out of aeroplanes, (with a parachute!), bungee jumped, and done some serious mountain biking, to name but a few. As far a sport is concerned, I have taken part in numerous marathons and long distance runs, and still play tennis and badminton. (when the old knees will allow me!) I have also supported Watford FC all my life. I have been seriously interested in mine exploration for the past 26 years, and for the last 15 of these, have concentrated mainly on the mines of Mid/North Wales. I am a member of the Carn Brea Mining Society, the Cumbria Amenity Trust Mining History Society and the North Pennines Heritage Trust. I live with my partner of 10 years, Jackie, and our dog and 4 chickens.
